• The KOS Group started out in 2002, under the name of HSS-Holding Sanità e Servizi, led by Claudio Stabon and Giuseppe Vailati Venturi, with Prof. Piero Micossi at the helm of the project.
• Over the years, the KOS Group has followed a growth path, through the acquisition and start up of new facilities, starting with the first three care homes in Liguria in 2003.
• In 2004 KOS entered the field of psychiatric rehabilitation with Redancia, a company running residential homes for psychiatric rehabilitation in Liguria.
• With the acquisition of 100% of Residenze Anni Azzurri, in 2006, the Group grew to a national business concern, placed among the top private operators in social welfare.
• In 2007, KOS consolidated its presence in the rehabilitation sector, acquiring Santo Stefano, an historic concern in the Marche region.
• The choice of the name KOS dates back to 2009. The inspiration comes from the Greek island and birthplace of Hippocrates, the father of modern medicine.
• In 2019, the Group entered Germany, acquiring 100% of Charleston Holding, a company managing 52 care homes for the elderly.
• In recent years, KOS has continued its growth through the acquisition and construction of new community and health facilities and the introduction of innovative services, such as telemedicine, across all business areas.
