KOS Group acquires two new facilities in Italy’s Veneto and Campania regions

 Milan, 5 December 2017

The KOS Group has today completed its acquisition of 100% of the share capital of the Villa Margherita private nursing homes through its subsidiary KOS Care. The company previously belonged to the Nordera family. Villa Margherita manages two facilities in Veneto (Arcugnano, Vicenza) and in Campania (Benevento) with a total of 282 beds. They provide in-hospital and external rehabilitation services that complement those of the regional public health networks. This acquisition, which marks the debut of the KOS group in the Campania region, brings the total number of the group’s facilities in Italy to 81, representing a total of over 7750 beds.

Villa Margherita has a long tradition in the healthcare sector and is recognized for its expertise in rehabilitation treatments (neurological, orthopaedic, psycho-nutritional and cardio-pulmonary), as well as in the neurosciences (neurological and psychiatric) and clinical and medical research. The continued role of the Nordera family in the organization of the two residences will ensure continuity in the management of the centres.

Through this operation, the KOS group consolidates its presence in 11 Italian regions (Lombardy, Liguria, Tuscany, Marche, Trentino-Alto Adige, Veneto, Piedmont, Emilia-Romagna, Umbria, Lazio and Campania), in addition to its activities in the United Kingdom and in India.
